Building 21st Century Career Readiness:

Focus on Economics and Financial Literacy

Link to Presentations

Teachers in grades 6-12 are encouraged to join us this summer at a virtual conference being held at each of the six Regents Universities.  Free resources and training will be provided for integrating "real life" economics and personal finance with a focus on the career clusters model.  This workshop will be especially helpful to FACS, business, math, social studies & technical ed teachers.  Graduate credit with a partial scholarship is optional.  Scholarships range from $80-$175 depending on the University.

A copy of the Virtual Economics CD ($100 value) will be provided to each participants.  This interactive tool helps you understand the most important concepts for integrating economics and personal finance.  Features also allow you to find the right lessons to teach them in your subject area and at your specific grade level.  Over 1,200 lessons are on this CD searchable by grade level, concept, Voluntary National Content Standards in Economics or your state economic standards.  Lessons are printable.  The glossary also puts over 500 economics terms and definitions at your fingertips.
