DESCRIPTION:Get access to plug-and-play lessons that will transform game-day information into rigorous learning experiences for your students. \n\n\n\nThe Kansas Council for Economic Education\, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and the Center for Economic Education at Wichita State University is pleased to invite you to join us. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is designed for teachers of economics\, personal finance\, business\, social studies\, family and consumer science and career and tech education. Get access to plug-and-play lessons that will transform game-day information into rigorous learning experiences for your students. We will explore curricula tied to markets\, incentives\, and decisions shaping the sports industry\, as well as public financing of arenas and trade-offs for taxpayers and franchise owners. Gain insights into the world of sports and enrich your teaching with materials that connect it to everyday economics. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Hours: 9 am to 4:30 pm\n\n\n\nBreakfast Served at 8:30\n\n\n\nLocation: Kansas City Urban Youth Academy\n\n\n\nThese workshops offer: \n\n\n\n\nGraduate Credit from Wichita State for those who qualify\n\n\n\nMeals (breakfast/lunch) and snacks\n\n\n\nHands-on\, standards-based lesson plans and supplemental materials\n\n\n\n\nYour $20 registration fee will be refunded in full on-site upon completion of the workshop. \n\n\n\nGraduate credit is available from WSU for one credit hour (additional work outside the workshop will be necessary to complete credit requirement). \n\n\n\nAttendance is limited to the first 30 paid attendees\, so register online today! \n\n\n\nAdditional workshop information will be sent via e-mail\, so please provide an e-mail address that you check regularly.
