SUMMARY:2025 Free Social Studies & Fin Lit Workshops for K-12 KS Teachers
DESCRIPTION:The Kansas Council for Economic Education\, in partnership with the Center for Economic Education at Wichita State University is pleased to again offer our annual workshops at Wichita State University. \n\n\n\nFinancial Fitness Extravaganza – June 9 & 10 \n\n\n\nTopics to be covered include: \n\n\n\n\nTo Be Announced\n\n\n\n\nEconomic Perspectives in U.S. History\, Civics & Government – June 10 & 11 \n\n\n\nTopics to be covered include: \n\n\n\n\nTo Be Announced\n\n\n\n\nThis year\, the sessions will run back-to-back so that we can offer 2 workshops in 3 days! Teachers can sign up for one or both workshops. \n\n\n\nThese workshops offer: \n\n\n\n\nGraduate Credit from Wichita State for those who qualify.\n\n\n\nHousing on campus at Wichita State (must RSVP by June 10)\n\n\n\nMeals (breakfast/lunch) and snacks\n\n\n\nHands-on\, standards-based lesson plans and supplemental materials\n\n\n\n\nYour $20 registration fee will be refunded in full on-site upon completion of the workshop(s) you attend. Graduate credit is available from WSU with scholarships for the full price of tuition available for those who qualify on a first-come\, first-served basis. These are available for certified Kansas teachers who teach Economics\, Social Studies\, Personal Finance\, or related topics. \n\n\n\nApply online for the workshop and tuition scholarship. Scholarship confirmations and additional workshop information will be sent via e-mail.
