Kansas Standards

The Kansas State Department of Education has adopted the National Standards in Personal Financial Literacy which were developed by the Council for Economic Education and the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.

For both Financial Literacy and Economics in Kansas, the educational checkpoints for various grade levels are outlined in the Standards linked below.

Teacher Workshop

Although Economics does not have stand-alone standards in Kansas, the Council for Economic Education recently updated the National Content Standards in K-12 Economics. KCEE recommends using these as a guide for any stand-alone Economics courses.
